RapidCompute Gains a Foothold in Lahore

RapidCompute has been growing from strength to strength since its inception in 2012. Being able to successfully build two data centers in Karachi, we have now gained a foothold in Lahore. By our presence there, we hope to empower multiple industry verticals in the Punjab region including leading banks, manufacturing concerns and service organizations.

A launch event was organized to mark the inauguration of our first state-of-the-art data center in Lahore. The event was held on the 16th March at Falleti’s Hotel, Lahore and over 150 CIOs, CTO’s and IT personnel attended the event from the Punjab region.

The CEO Cybernet, Mr. Danish Lakhani, opened the event by speaking about how far RapidCompute has come and the progress we have made in the past year. He further claimed that “With Cloud Computing in Pakistan, I believe it is now a matter of ‘not if but when’. We have seen notable Pakistani companies gradually make the shift to the Cloud. Customers expect 100 percent uptime and reliability, and that is something RapidCompute has been able to offer consistently. Our datacenters are built with long-term vision and focus on quality, reliability, efficiency and customer satisfaction”.

The new RapidCompute data center has been built using technology components from Schineider Electric and Mr. Munib Khawaja, its Country Vice President, was also present at the event. He regarded being a part of building RapidCompute Data center and the spoke about the success of this project. He further spoke in detail about the role of Data Centers in driving business competitiveness.

Mr. Zeeshan Ali, General Manager IT at National Foods, Mr. Sajjad Ghani, Chairman of Punjab Information Technology Board, and Mr. Zaeem Arshad, Division Head RapidCompute, were part of the Cloud Conversations panel. They discussed the progress in cloud computing and how more organizations are adapting to the global trend of moving their data onto the Cloud. They also took questions from the audience, where Mr. Zeeshan shared his own story of the successful migration of the National Foods SAP onto the Cloud.

Mr. Zaeem Arshad also spoke about RapidComputes vision for the future. He expressed his plans for an even greater expansion in the business, more companies joining the Cloud Community and the upcoming growth strategy for the company.
