The 5th Pakistan CIO Summit and the 3rd IT Showcase was held at the Marriot Hotel, Karachi on April 18, 2017. The prestigious summit was organized by Solutions Inc., and bought together over 300 CIOs, IT Heads and Technologists from all over Pakistan under one platform to share knowledge and information about most up-to-date trends in IT. This year around, the summit was inaugrated by the chief guest Dr. Irfan Ali, Executive Director (BP&RG), State Bank of Pakistan and by Asim Shahryar Husain, Managing Director, PSEB. RapidCompute was a sponsor for the fifth consecutive year since the origin of this summit back in 2013.

The theme of the summit was ‘Solutions for Tomorrow – Agility for Digital Enterprise’, where speakers, technologists and panelists spoke on the latest topics including; Cloud Computing & Business Agility, Enterprise Agility & IT Management and Data Security in Agile Digital Enterprise. IT decision makers from various industries such as Oil & Gas, Banking and Finance, Telecom, Energy, FMCG, Textile, Pharmaceutical, construction, education, manufacturing, automobiles, SMEs, healthcare, insurance, shipping, government and exports and showed up at the summit. Imran Khan, commercial head, RapidCompute also spoke at the event on “Building innovative user centric solutions- 100% in the Cloud”. He discussed how the company hosts multiple mission critical workloads for clients across all industries including the Banking Sector, Logistics companies, Pharmaceuticals and FMCGs. He laid emphases on how RapidCompute has a straight forward approach of making their customers their foremost priority by not having a “one size fits all” approach but rather is more inclined toward blending the resources in accordance to their customers’ specifications.
